ARC started with a totally blank canvas on this project. The room was bare, with a lino floor and that was it! We designed a series of full room height graphics which interpreted the various habitats found around the park.
A giant ‘spin the wheel’ habitat game and some species tumblers made with etched metal were also part of the scheme. The star of the show though, is the illustrated floor mural which covers the entire floor of the visitor center and reception area. We also designed and built the large stainless steel fire baffle to reflect heat back out into the room from behind the woodburning stove. Three handling object units with pull-out species rubbing drawers were also produced in our workshop for the visitor centre.
