The tiny magical peninsular situated on the south coast of Anglesey, Llanddwyn Island is famous for St.Dwynwen; the Welsh patron saint of lovers.
Our interpretation there told her story from 1600 years ago, but our graphics had to withstand the harshest of the Irish seas and strong westerly winds of todays weather. We agreed with Laura (our client) that the only product that would be resilient enough to this weather would be our unique product, enamelled volcanic Lava Stone.
The waves actually crash over one interpretation panel we placed on the old lighthouse!Nothing else available is guaranteed against such wild weather, Enamelled Lava Stone uses iron oxides to form the pigment, rather than ink and with our 20 year warrantee, it will withstand any amount of sea water, wind and sunshine.
We also included a tactile trail that visitors could use to find hidden items around the island along with interactive signage and a large illustration of the facing beautiful Snowdonia mountains.
